ZOO Nowy Tomyśl
Less than 20 km from the WENA agritourism, in Nowy Tomyśl, there is a small, albeit rich in many species of animals, zoo. The zoo has been operating for over forty years and covers an area of 5 ha. It is worth visiting this place, if only because of the very close location to agritourism – a car ride takes only a dozen or so minutes.
The zoo in Nowy Tomyśl is home to over 200 predatory animals, ungulates and birds, representing 48 species from around the world, including: zebras, camels, alpacas, yaks, mouflons, macaques, baboons, lynxes, skunks, wild cats, ostriches, emus, peacocks, pheasants, mandarins and several species of parrots. The zoo in Nowy Tomyśl does not keep large predatory animals for which it is very difficult to meet the demanding living conditions.
The facility is a very grateful place to spend time, especially with the family, because in recent years there have been many modernizations and renovations, which resulted in the creation of new attractions:
Mini ZOO – designed for the youngest children who can watch small farm animals from a very close distance,
Children's Playground,
BiblioZOOteka – books about animals available on the premises of the ZOO – while admiring more and less exotic specimens, you can also read information about them,
game table – checkers and chinese.
We recommend that you follow the profile of the ZOO in Nowy Tomyśl on Facebook, where information about free admission on a given day appears every few weeks – then it is worth taking advantage of this opportunity. However, even without a promotion, a visit to the zoo is not expensive, as a normal ticket costs PLN 4, and a discount ticket costs PLN 3.
